Mumbai!

Here u go…

Mumbai.. I would advice everyone to stay in this beautiful city! Indeed the city of dreams. The city that never sleeps.. the city of true spirit.. the city that teaches you a lot I would say! I have lived there for 12 years and the way I am is because of that city. When I went, I was a kid of 7 years, had no “Jajwalya Abhiman” of Pune but yes I did cry mainly because I was leaving many relatives. I easily got adjusted because I was young, you can say that but being flexible and open helped me a lot. So Mumbai is all about to let yourself set free and enjoy. The great thing about is that many people from different culture live under the same dream-To be successful! When I lived in Sanpada, there were hardly any Maharashtrians and very few Brahmins. This sounded very strange when you visited and read the name plate. But I was like-“Ikde asach asta…!” The more I played, the more I got to learn about different people. Till 7th I was in Convent School having friends from all religions. I thoroughly enjoyed their company and they are still in contact. Then after 7th I moved to Thane. You can call a better place than Navi Mumbai in terms of ‘Marathi People’. I made many friends over there as well and enjoyed their company. The point of telling you this is the more you open yourself and accept the more in return you will get from the city. The city teaches you Time Management. Try catching a local early morning from Dadar and you will be out of your mind seeing the crowd. The population density is almost infinity and yet people manage to board the train just because they would be late if they catch the next which would be 2min after. Amazing! The distance is the main constraint so people change their mode of transport many times to reach their destination and still are all fit to work. The trains are the heart of this city. If this comes to halt, the city stops! This is odd as the city never sleeps.. The night life is also exciting and you can see people either going late from office or just strolling. The spirit of Mumbai is worth appreciable. For this I would describe the incident in where my father was stuck during 26th July floods. The people helped everyone distributing biscuits at MRP even though they could have sold at exorbitant prices as everyone was in need and hungry. Nearby residents were allowing people to stay at their places not knowing who they are or which religion they belonged to. That’s the SPIRIT! Mumbai has faced many terrorist attack as you know yet people are not afraid and ready to face come what may.. People here help, survive and succeed. So dream big and accept to adjust without cribbing, you will get in return that nowhere in the world you can experience. Also, don’t be blind and keep aside your “Jajwalya Abhiman”, the city is much more than this.. Don’t let the city overpower you. And most importantly enjoy the life, enjoy the rains and enjoy yourself. You would definitely come out as a different person all together. A much improved and much adjustable! All the best!
